Custom Maple Live Edge Console Table
This console table was designed and built as a wedding gift—created to be a meaningful, lasting piece that represents the start of a new chapter.
Crafted from solid maple, the top highlights the natural beauty of the wood, with live edges that preserve the organic shape of the tree. The contrast between the smooth, refined surface and the raw, charred bark edges brings a balance of clean design and natural character.
A walnut bowtie inlay was added to stabilize a natural split in the wood, while also serving as a subtle symbol of strength, connection, and commitment—making it especially fitting for a piece created to celebrate marriage.
The base combines industrial-style steel piping with warm natural wood, creating a mix of rustic and modern elements. The lower shelf adds both function and visual balance, making the piece practical for everyday use while still feeling intentional and elevated.
