This project started with one big goal—create a space that truly works for a large, blended family without giving up the warmth and elegance they wanted to come home to.

By removing the wall between the entry and the kitchen, we completely changed how the home lives. What was once separated is now one open, connected space that invites people in instead of dividing them.

At the center of it all, the kitchen was designed with intention. The cooking area became a natural focal point, while the large eat-at island creates a place for gathering—whether that’s weeknight dinners, homework at the counter, or simply being together while meals are made.

Every cabinet, drawer, and storage solution was carefully planned to support real, everyday life. Nothing is accidental here—everything has a purpose.

Just off the entry, a hidden mudroom space was built behind doors to handle the reality of coats, shoes, and daily clutter. It keeps the home functioning the way it needs to, while still allowing the main space to feel clean and elevated.

To complete the project, a custom bar area was designed within the husband’s office. Rich dark cherry cabinetry brings in a more masculine tone, while still tying seamlessly back to the kitchen—creating a cohesive feel throughout the home.

This space isn’t just about how it looks.
It’s about how it lives, how it functions, and how it brings people together every single day.
